India Post GDS Result 2023, India GDS Post DV Documents List for Final Selection: India Post Office has recently announced the result for the post of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) on the official website. India Post GDS Result is available on the website of the India Post i.e. indiapostgdsonline.cept.gov.in. Shortlisted candidates are now required to appear for India Post Document Verification. The shortlisted candidates should report for verification along with originals and two sets of self attested photocopies of all the relevant documents.

According to the official notice, ‘These short-listed candidates should get their documents verified through the Divisional Head mentioned against their names on or before 21/03/2023. Hence, candidates should reach their respective divisional office much before the last date which is 21 March 2023.

Indian Post DV 2023: Documents Required for Post Office GDS DV 2023

Provisionally shortlisted applicants must report for document verification along with the following original documents and two sets of self-attested photocopies of each documents:-

• Original marks/Board sheet
• Original community/Cast certificate. 
• Original PWD certificate.
• Original Transgender certificate
• Original Date of Birth Proof
• Medical certificate. Medical certificate should be from Medical officer of any Government Hospital/Government Dispensaries/Government Primary Health Centre etc. (Compulsory).

Process To Check India Post GDS Merit List 2023

The GDS Merit List 2023 will be out soon on the official website and all the applicants who had applied for the posts will be able to check their names in the India Post GDS Result 2023 by following the steps mentioned below.

1. First, the candidates will need to open the official website of GDS Recruitment 2023, indiapostgdsonline.gov.in
2. The candidates will be able to find all the options related to recruitment in a panel on the homepage.
3. The aspirants will need to find the option for the release of ‘GDS Merit List 2023’ from the panel and click on it.
4. Then they will be taken to a new page where they will be asked to choose their state and region.
5. After choosing the correct options, click on ‘Proceed’ and then a new page will open up with the GDS Merit List 2023 in PDF Format.
6. They will be able to search for their names in the final India Post GDS Result 2023 to see whether they have been selected for document verification or not.

What is After India Post  DV Round ?

Candidates whose documents are successfully verified by the concerned authority will be required to undergo the pre-engagement formalities, including prescribed training. In case of unsuccessful verification by the Engaging Authority, the candidature will be canceled. The offer of provisional engagement will be issued through system itself (on registered SMS/Email) based on successful document verification.

GDS Job Profile 2023

The candidates who are applying for the posts should know the job profiles for various posts under the India Post. The GDS Job Profile 2023 for various posts are given below.

1. Dak Sevak- They will have to work in the sorting offices of the Railway Mail Service and they will handle the receiving and dispatching of mail. They will also work as an assistant to Postmasters.
2. Assistant Branch Postmaster- They will be in charge of the sale of stamps, stationary and delivery of mail at the doorstep. They will also work as assistants to Branch Postmaster.
3. Branch Postmaster- They will carry out all the transactions of the Branch Post Office and India Post Payments Bank. They will also be responsible for the marketing of postal products and services and maintaining financial records for each year.
